Local Coaching Centre, Everyone Active Longdean, Hemel Hempstead
We run sessions in the Autumn and Spring terms at Everyone Active Longdean, Longdean Scool, entrance off Hill Common, Bennetts End, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 8JH.
SESSIONS WILL RESTART IN SEPTEMBER 2019
Age groups School Years 7,8,9 and 10
Purpose of the coaching sessions and expectations
The club is open to girls of all abilities who love to play netball. Each session is led by UKCC Level 2 qualified netball coaches and focus on developing skills in a fun and safe environment, with time in each session to use the skills in a game situation. We welcome volunteers to help out in sessions, especially those who would like to work towards a coaching or umpiring qualification.
We expect all participants to arrive promptly, ready to play in appropriate sportswear and trainers. Fingernails should be short to avoid injury and no jewellery should be worn. Please bring water to drink during the session.
We expect parents to pick up their daughters promptly at the end of the session and to let us know in writing if their daughter will be going home alone or be waiting alone for a parent to collect.
Essential paperwork
Parents must fill in the club registration form fully, including an email address, as this is the way coaches will contact participants in case of cancellation or changes to sessions. We also need a mobile telephone number, so we can contact parents during the session in case of an emergency. It is important to fill in details about any medical condition or disability which may affect a girl’s ability to participate fully in the sessions.
Club size and costs
We have a limit of 24 participants for each session. The cost is £65 for the term and will be payable by the second session to give girls a chance to try it out before committing. Please pay by cash, by cheque payable to Shelley Netball Club, or by bank transfer to account number 73275181 sort code 090155. If paying by bank transfer please add the reference of your daughter’s initial and surname plus LCC, e.g. PJonesLCC. If we have more girls wanting to join than spaces available, we will look at allocating places in a fair way, but will give priority to those who attended regularly last term. Shelley Netball Club is committed to providing opportunities for all girls to develop in the sport.
